USENET is a long-standing system for delayed multi-user message exchange via the Internet, similar to the more recently introduced web-based forums such as the official Mandriva forum discussed above. USENET newsgroups can be accessed via dedicated client applications. Several of these are available for Mandriva Linux, such as pan.
